1. If you don't see their username, they aren't connected, or just timed out, type show vpdn again and see if they come up. If not troubleshoot with customer.
show vpdn history failure [user] is another useful command that will show you the last time a user was connected:

Once you know the session ID you can get detailed information about the session with show vpdn session all | begin [session ID#] to confirm that customer data is being sent/received

You can use the clear vpdn counters session username [user] command to clear previous traffic not relevant to your current troubleshooting.
In order to manually kick a user off of their DSL connection so that they do not have to wait for 10 minutes for the connection to reset when the power is recycled:
