Dynamic DNS

Google Domains

1. Follow Google's Dynamic DNS setup instructions to configure the DNS record: https://support.google.com/domains/answer/6147083?hl=en
2. Log in to the EdgeRouter X and click on the Services tab.
3. Click the DNS sub-tab.
4. Under Dynamic DNS, click the Add Dynamic DNS Interface button.
5. Select the WAN interface you wish to associate with the DNS record from the Interface drop down selection (eth0).
6. Web and Web Skip can be left blank.
7. Select custom from the Service drop down selection.
8. Fill in the service field with a descriptor (Google).
   • NOTE: Special characters and spaces do not seem to be allowed in this field.
9. Fill in the Hostname field with the hostname that was set up in step 1.
10. Fill in the Login and Password fields with the information provided by Google in step 1.
11. Select dyndns2 from the Protocol drop down selection
12. Fill in the Server field with domains.google.com
13. Click Apply, then Force Update
