If the source of attack is from a singular IP address, such as the attack outlined in CVE-2013-5211, you can set an IP route to route the traffic to 0.0.0.0.

To use BGP redirection you must have:
A /24 prefix, at a minimum.
A BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) capable router.
IP address space to terminate GRE tunnels that lies outside of the prefixes that you need defended.
